The Nike Dunk Low “Banana” joins the Dunk Low “Avocado” as a part of NSW’s “Food For Thought” Collection. These Dunks come in a simple colorway that is “Certified Fresh” from the Swoosh.
A milky-beige leather covers most of the sneaker, including the laces and the tongue. A banana yellow leather is used for the heel counter and the strap of leather that connects to the top of the eyelets. On the lateral side of the heel is a printing of a PLU sticker featuring the zip code of Beaverton, OR, instead of the actual PLU code for bananas (FYI: 4011 is the PLU code for non-organic bananas). The fuzzy brown suede of the heel tab has “Nike” printed in black, while the full nutrition facts for one serving of banana are printed behind the tongue tag. A cream-colored midsole and outsole complete this peeled banana look on this Dunk Low.
The Nike Dunk Low Banana W will be released in August 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select Nike retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Exclusively in women’s sizing, the retail price will be $120.
