Dating back to 1985, the Nike Dunk has made the transition from the hardwood floors of a collegiate basketball court to the social media feeds and sidewalks of the world. Thanks to this, the silhouette has moved past its NCAA-themed colorways to reflect the fashion trends of the modern day, from earth-tone renditions to vibrant colorful looks. Even still, the most coveted pairs that have hit retail shelves utilize two-tone color blocking, and it seems Nike is returning to the original BTTYS program with the Oregon Ducks-inspired Nike Dunk Low.
Taking on the shades of the Ducks uniform, the BTTYS "Oregon" comes in a two-tone color scheme of yellow strike and apple green across its all-leather upper. Around the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay sits yellow strike leather while the base layer, comprised of the toebox, quarter panel, and collar, comes in apple green. This same shade runs up the mesh tongue and comes accented by tonal yellow laces, stopping just below the Nike branded tongue tag that utilizes both colors found on the upper. Running back towards the yellow heel tab with green “Nike” embroidery is a yellow strike leather Swoosh, found in its usual spot along the quarter panel. Completing the upper is a tonal green sockliner and insole while the entire design is rounded out via the white Dunk midsole and apple green rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low BTTYS Oregon is set to release on February 15th, 2023 through select NSW retailers online and in-store while an online release through Nike is set for March 8th, 2023. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
