Countless iterations of the Nike Dunk Low have hit the market over the past few years with many of these colorways sticking to the iconic BTTYS-Esque two-tone colorblocking, however, the silhouette has also been a canvas for wild in-your-face designs. Sticking to the latter of the two options, the latest Nike Dunk Low appears to be inspired by “Rainbow Trout.”
Across the overlays on the upper sits a mossy green suede, visible on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay, while this same hue continues onto the canvas located around the collar. Just like the fish, a Rainbow trout pattern is visible on the toebox and quarter panels with a black and light yellow hue, accenting the dark navy laces and orange tongue nearby, however, an actual nod to the fish is present on the tongue tag. As for the Nike Swoosh, textured leather with an additional piece of leather added to the tip of the Swoosh that appears to be mimicking fish scales. Back on the heel we find a rainbow worth of colors as the heel tab, overlay, and underlay come in orange, green, and purple respectively. Rounding out the design is the sail midsole and outsole combo below.
The Nike Dunk Low Rainbow Trout is set to release in Summer 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
