While originally intended for the basketball court, the Nike Dunk silhouette has stood the test of time and regained popularity in the last few years, spawning countless collaborations, new colorways, and even brand new variants. One of these newer takes is the Nike Dunk Low Scrap, seemingly taking leftover cuts of leather and suede to create a DIY patchwork-inspired sneaker. Plenty of colors are on the way, including an upcoming Knicks-inspired look, though the latest to emerge comes in a stealthy Black Olive color palette.
As previously mentioned, a patchwork-like upper gets covered in various suede, leather, and nubuck panels, mostly seen in black with olive hits joining in on the fun. Tumbled leather and mesh take over the toebox while the eyestays feature hairy and short-haired suede in the accenting olive tone. The rest of the accenting features come via the embroidery details on the midfoot, the Nike tag atop the tongue, the lining of the black Nike Swoosh, and the back on the heel tab. Underfoot, the classic Dunk midsole gets dressed in white while the rubber outsole borrows the olive hue seen above.
The Nike Dunk Low Scrap Black Olive is slated to release in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
