The Nike Ekiden Pack Releases December 2023

As Japan's Ekiden season approaches, Nike gears up to celebrate this exhilarating sporting event with the release of the Nike Ekiden Pack. Ekiden, a series of long-distance relay races, is a significant event in Japan, encapsulating the spirit of endurance, teamwork, and tradition. It’s when runners push their limits, often wearing the lightest and fastest gear available. From casual joggers to competitive racers, the Ekiden Pack provides a range of footwear and apparel for training and race days.

This year's collection includes five iconic footwear models: the AlphaFly 2, VaporFly 3, Zoom Fly 5, Pegasus 40, and Rival Fly 3. Each model features a striking combination of pink and volt colors - a palette synonymous with speed and performance in the Ekiden and Nike community. The footwear is adorned with graphics that pay tribute to the origins of the Ekiden race and the breathtaking scenery of Japan's most famous race courses.

Complementing the footwear, the Ekiden Pack also features a selection of apparel, including tees and the packable Nike Windrunner jacket. The apparel line carries forward the design elements from the footwear, incorporating a stripe inspired by the "Tasuki," the traditional sash used in place of a relay baton in Ekiden races.

The Nike Ekiden Pack will release on December 1, 2023, through Nike Japan and on December 8 via retailers nationwide. A worldwide launch is set for later in the month. The collection ranges from $95 for the Rival Fly 3 to $295 for the Alphafly NEXT%2.
