Nike Gifts Devin Booker a Walter Davis-Inspired Nike Book 1 PE After Becoming Suns All-Time Leading Scorer
PublishedDevin Booker made history on February 3, 2025, becoming the Phoenix Suns' all-time leading scorer after surpassing Walter Davis’ record of 15,666 career points as a Sun. To honor this record-breaking achievement, Nike and the Suns showered Booker with a series of gifts, including signed jerseys by others on the Suns scoring list, a headset from the late Al McCoy, the long-time Suns play-by-play who set a record by being the longest tenured broadcaster in league history at 51 years, and a player exclusive version of Booker’s Nike Book 1 silhouette.
Made to resemble an exclusive colorway of the Converse Startech Mid that Davis sported during his time with the organization, the silhouette opts for a clean tri-color finish in grey, white, and purple. Like the pair Sweet D wore, this Book 1 comes with grey suede around the perforated leather toe and a white leather finish on the midfoot, heel tab, and eyestays. Pops of the Suns' purple hue is applied to the collar and the cutout Swoosh, the latter mimicking the same cutout Converse Chevron star logo from the Startech Mid.
The left pair also contains a nod to Davis, with Converse and "W Davis" stamped in purple above the points he scored as a Phoneix Sun, 15,666. On the right pair, "D Book" replaces Davis' name, and the 15,666 number comes with an added plus to denote that Booker is still tacking on more points. Finishing the sneaker is a custom insole with "Suns All-Time Leading Scorer" and a tonal white midsole and outsole.
This Nike Book 1 All-Time Leading Scorer PE will remain exclusive to Devin Booker. Check below for images of the pair, and download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
