Frank Cooke Shares Photo of The Nike GT Future Copper Eggplant

Nike was the clear winner of this year’s NBA All-Star festivities as The Swoosh held multiple activations across the Bay Area and released products like the Galaxy Foamposite, Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 Navy, and the Union x Air Jordan 1 High Chicago Shadow, early, which was the talk of the sneaker community over the weekend. However, they also used the Nike Future Game, a showcase of upcoming high school basketball talent, to quietly debut what has now become the most talked about new silhouette from The Swoosh in what seems like forever — the Nike GT Future.
Nike employees were sharing images of the sneaker on social media, including Frank Cooke, who posted an in-hand image of a pair Wale was spotted wearing during a Galaxy Foamposite celebration event on Saturday night. Pulling inspiration from the Copper and Eggplant colors of the Foamposite, the pair features an iridescent upper that appears like both colors depending on the lighting. Contrasting this are black hits on the tongue and metallic silver on the Swoosh along the lateral collar, medial toe, and tongue.
First images of the pair appeared when high school phenom AJ Dybantsa wore an all-black colorway in the Future Game. On top of this, Wale, the DC native ever-connected to the Nike Foamposite family, wore an orange colorway while attending the Future Game. Sole Retriever confirmed that the pair is the upcoming GT Future, the latest entry in Nike’s premier inline performance basketball series, the Nike Greater Than series.
The Nike GT Future Copper Eggplant has no confirmed release date, but the silhouette itself will be debuting in the Holiday 2025 season for $190 in multiple colorways.
