Improvise. Scavenge. Protect. Adapt. That is at the core of Nike ISPA’s design principles, forcing them to create some of the most unique and experimental silhouettes The Swoosh has seen to date. For 2022, their Link silhouette showcased Nike’s push for ultra-sustainable silhouettes, though their latest design, the Sense Flyknit, borrows design cues while maintaining a more orthodox construction. Already appearing in an "Enigma Stone" colorway, the latest pair is dressed in shades of "Phantom."
Shades of white and grey take over the knit upper with various knit patterns creating depth to the model. Running around the edge of the upper and midsole is a gaseous-like design, swirled with multiple shades while the rest of the knit comes in a primarily light bone color. Tonal laces come in a two-tone white and light blue, working up to the padded collar area and its lone hit of Swoosh branding on the upper. ISPA makes an appearance on the medial midfoot with a strap containing embroidery denoting the experimental division of Nike. Underfoot, a thick foam midsole gets covered in grooves resembling the likes of a Japanese dry garden while the outsole below contains portions of semi-translucent recycled rubber.
The Nike ISPA Sense Flyknit Phantom is slated to release in November 2022 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, retail is set at $200.
