The Nike Ja 1 silhouette has won over the hearts of sneakerheads around the globe with its versatile design and comfort. Even though Ja Morant just received a 25-game suspension from the NBA, Nike is sticking by Morant's side and continuing to put out a variety of colorways. The latest rendition to be revealed for the fall/holiday lineup is a grade school exclusive “Bright Mandarin Opti Yellow.”
This kid’s exclusive colorway of the Ja 1 shows off a playful color scheme with added details on the Swoosh. A burnt orange leather mudguard wraps around a light orange-shaded mesh base layer. Different orange hues brighten the leather portions near the eyestays, tongue, and heel tab. Blue Ja branding stands out on the tongue and heel, while the insole contains a kid-friendly graphic. The most striking feature of the design is the black and yellow Swoosh that seems to almost burst from the shoe, owing to an intricate pattern. Underneath, a black midsole speckled with yellow dots adds a bit of fun, and a blue outsole rounds out the design.
The Nike Ja 1 Bright Mandarin GS will release August 12 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in Grade School sizing, the retail price is set at $90.
