The Nike Doernbecher Freestyle XVII Collection was officially unveiled by OHSU in late February. The collection features seven silhouettes designed by patients of the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Oregon. Shortly thereafter, an exclusive auction via eBay was conducted for each sneaker, coming in a 1-of-1 special edition that will differ from the Nike exclusive release. With official images of the LeBron 19 recently surfacing, it looks as though Nike is gearing up to drop their latest Doernbecher Collection soon.
As previously covered in our full-length piece on this year's Nike x Doernbecher Collection, the Nike LeBron 19 DB was designed by Sam David Phelps. The sneaker comes in black, metallic gold, and university red. Featuring a black-based upper with a red inner bootie. Details include lightning bolts across the base and Sam's custom wheelchair logo on the tongue. His signature graces the metallic gold midfoot with his favorite saying “Never Back Down” on the back heel of the midsole. Custom insoles and gold lace dubraes finish things off. Each pair comes with a custom hangtag and special packaging.
The Nike LeBron 19 Doernbecher is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike exclusively, both in-store, online, and via the SNKRS app. Coming in men’s sizes, retail is set at $200. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
