LeBron James takes no days off from the court it seems. The Los Angeles Lakers megastar took a trip to NYC over the weekend, hitting up Summit at 222 E 44th St for some hoops. While on court, LeBron was spotted testing out his upcoming signature sneaker, the Nike LeBron 20, in a “Pink Diamond” colorway, debuting it to the world in a subtle, but bright way.
Up until this point, the Nike LeBron 20 has been kept under wraps. We all knew it was coming, but we didn’t know what it would look like or what the tech specs were. Now, we can confirm exactly what the LeBron 20 will look like, courtesy of James, and let you in on some of the details behind the upcoming silhouette. Bryce and Bronny, LeBron’s two oldest sons who play for Sierra Canyon Academy, are the main inspirations behind the Nike LeBron 20.
They and their teammates have often chosen to wear other silhouettes over their dads, due to things such as being lighter, leaner, and more appealing to the eyes. This has made LeBron change up the method to his signature sneaker for the first time since the Air Zoom Generation. The latest LeBron silhouette is not designed with King James in mind, but to the next generation. ““I no longer want the consumer in the shoe I wear, I want to be in the shoe that the consumer is wearing,” said James.
So with those things in mind, let's delve into the Nike LeBron 20. To date, it is the lightest, supportive, comfortable, and fastest, coming in a low-cut as well. Featuring a simple knit upper, Swoosh logos can be seen on the lateral and medial sides. All the key tech is hidden underneath. A top-loaded forefoot Zoom Air helps to deliver a supportive and smooth ride underfoot. For impact protection, a 13mm Zoom Air unit is also found in the heel.
The Nike LeBron 20 is set to release during Holiday 2022 in various colorways. It will drop at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select retailers worldwide, both in-store and online. Retail is set at $200 for men’s sizes. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
