LeBron James is about to make history with his son Bronny, who plays with him on the Los Angeles Lakers. As the season is only weeks out, players and teams have reconvened for practice sessions, and James has taken this time to bust out his latest signature sneaker with Nike, the LeBron 22. Following up on an early look at the Moonlight colorway, a Blacklight rendition has been seen on LeBron's feet.
Across most of the upper sits a black nubuck, with red hues lining the dark grey panel that forms the bottom half/heel of the sneaker and acts as the Swoosh branding. This red extends back to the heel, which forms LeBron James’ signature. Contrasting these hues are pops of purple alongside the lace set and the triangular-shaped tongue branding window. Shades of guava ice land on the three eyelets near the tongue's top and the Swoosh logo on the lateral midsole. Down below sits a two-tone midsole featuring light shades near the rubber portion on the forefoot and darker shades near the back half. Tooling includes:
- A top-loaded shank plate near the heel.
- A top-loaded Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot.
- Full-length Cushlon 2.0 foam.
- A bottom-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel.
The Nike LeBron 22 Blacklight will release on December 6, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and gradeschool sizing, retail is set at $180 and $140, respectively.
