Nike’s basketball division often blesses the young ones with exclusive colorways on the signature models of athletes like LeBron James, Ja Morant, and more. With the aforementioned athletes launching their latest signature models, the LeBron 22 and Ja 2, respectively, Nike Basketball found it fitting to include both pairs in an upcoming King of the Court collection, highlighting Nike athletes' dominance.
For this LeBron 22, we see a golden camo pattern applied to the leather overlay around the toe and midfoot, broken up by silver stitching details around the edge of the panel. Pale Ivory contrasts on the lace set, perforated tongue, sockliner, and the Swoosh cutout along the midfoot and heel. LeBron's signature is placed on the heel via a nylon cord that continues the regal metallic gold details, though direct nods to the King of the Court theme are found on the insole. Here is where you'll find a custom LeBron crest that mimics the crests often used in medieval times. Another nod to the royal theme appears on the medial side of the midfoot, featuring a crown logo in a contrasting navy shade. Down below sits the molded midfoot stability saddle in a pale ivory finish. A navy Swoosh adorns the lateral side, while the midsole is packed with Zoom Turbo cushioning in the forefoot, Air Zoom in the heel, and full-length Cushlon 2.0 foam. Finishing the design is the gum rubber outsole.
The Nike LeBron 22 King of the Court GS will release on November 1, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in gradeschool sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
