LeBron James continues to dominate both on and off the court with his signature sneaker line. As anticipation builds for the release of the Nike LeBron 22, fans are still being treated to new iterations of his secondary silhouette, the LeBron NXXT Gen. Earlier this year, the NXXT Gen AMPD was updated with inspiration from the Air Zoom Generation, and now a new colorway that was initially thought to be a PE for LeBron himself is making its way to retail.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen Ampd Equity features a striking split design, with the left pair in black and the right in white. The upper is constructed from engineered mesh in a tonal hue, complemented by tumbled leather overlays in matching shades. Golden accents add a touch of luxury to the sneaker, appearing on the tongue, eyelets, Swoosh, and heel tab. The word EQUITY is prominently displayed on the heel in golden textiles, emphasizing the theme of equality and empowerment. The sneaker's aesthetic is completed with a tonal foam midsole and a rubber outsole that features a traction pattern inspired by a grid view of the streets of Akron, Ohio, LeBron's hometown.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen Ampd Equity will release on August 1, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
