While LeBron James is getting ready to launch his newest flagship signature sneaker, the Nike LeBron 22, we’re still getting new renditions of his takedown model, the LeBron NXXT Gen AMPD. Following up on the Diana Taurasi colorway, LeBron and Nike pay homage to his son Bronny’s alma mater, USC with an all-new colorway.
Paneling added to this AMPD version of the NXXT Gen takes inspiration from Bron’s first silhouette, the Air Zoom Generation, with these panels coming in a light bone suede finish. Pops of crimson and gold are on a small tab along the lacing system, with more of this color combo landing along the Swoosh on the midfoot. Metallic Gold takes over the top eyelets, and more gold finds a home on the 3D embroidered Swoosh on the lateral midfoot and along the edge of the medial Swoosh. Below these layers sits a smooth leather that contains various graphics representing LeBron, including his Dunkman and lion logos, his love for movies with film reels and cameras, and graffiti of LeBron’s name. This graphic pattern is also applied to the leather panel along the mudguard. Finishing the design is the cream foam midsole containing Zoom Air cushioning paired with a red rubber outsole, which derives its traction pattern from the streets of Bron’s hometown of Akron, Ohio.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen AMPD USC will release on October 24, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
