Nike’s roster of basketball players includes some of the brightest stars in the game, with only a select few being worthy of receiving a signature silhouette. Among this list are legends like Kevin Durant and up-and-coming stars like Ja Morant, though King James reigns supreme. Onto his 20th iteration of the Nike LeBron series, we usually see Nike and James produce a take-down version of his latest sneaker, with this year’s being the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen. Fresh off of the release of the model in a clean “White Metallic Silver,” a creamy rendition dubbed “Da Vinci” drops next month.
While the exact reasoning behind naming the sneaker after the famed Italian is unknown, the silhouette features a creamy engineered mesh upper with orange, pink, and black accents throughout. The large Swoosh on the medial side is made of pink textured leather with black stitching and a mini orange Swoosh below. On the medial side, a black leather Swoosh with black stitching contrasts the leather overlay it sits atop. The tongue features Nike and LBJ branding, and James' signature is embossed into the leather above it. Orange piping and black stitching trim the tongue, adding to the sneaker's visual appeal. Underfoot, you'll find a tonal cream midsole paired with a grippy rubber outsole.
The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen Da Vinci is set to release on May 1st, 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
