Even though LeBron James is still playing in the NBA, he’s taken steps to solidify his lineup of Nike products as more than just performance basketball sneakers. This year, James and Nike introduced his cross-training silhouette, the LeBron TR 1, launched in the Better With Age, Purple Rain, and Dunk Man colorways. Now, after gifting Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes pairs of the TR 1 in the school’s colors, a Nike LeBron-sponsored school, FAMU, has just received an exclusive colorway of the sneaker.
The Nike LeBron TR 1 FAMU features the school’s color palette of green, orange, and cream. The upper’s knit base comes coated in a cream hue. This color extends onto the TPU toe cap, lace set, neoprene bootie, and onto the rubber that wraps up from the sole unit to the middle of the upper. Pops of the school’s green color are found on branding details, including the Swoosh on the toecap and the lateral midfoot, the LeBron crown logo on the tongue’s pull tab, and the Swoosh atop the orange insole. Orange extends onto the nylon lace loops and the pull tab on the heel. Underfoot, the silhouette features an inverted waffle traction pattern on the outsole, coated in an orange shade.
The Nike LeBron TR 1 FAMU PE has no confirmed release information, but if it does end up dropping, expect it to launch in the early parts of 2025.
