LeBron James has been all over the news for his history-making feat alongside his son Bronny as the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA. In the lead-up to this historic season for Bron, he debuted two new silhouettes from his Nike LeBron line: the new performance basketball model, the LeBron 22, and a brand-new training silhouette dubbed the LeBron TR1. We’ve been given previews of multiple colorways for the latter and have had two options released: Purple Rain and Dunk Man. The previously revealed Better with Age colorway has appeared via official Nike imagery.
Engineered to be the training shoe of the next generation of athletes, the model comes with an ergonomic and lightweight design emphasizing forefoot flexibility. For this Better with Age colorway, we see an amber-brown hue cover the majority of the upper, with darker brown hues found along the toecap, neoprene material on the medial midfoot, and the large rubber portions that extend up from the sole on the lateral side. A sail Swoosh breaks up the earthy tones, as does the green frost pops on the toebox’s mini Swoosh and the LeBron crown logo atop the tongue. Internally, the silhouette features a glove-like bootie fit, a wider last, and a Strobel-less construction that all come together to create a more comfortable and forgiving training silhouette. Finishing the design of this colorway is the green frost that lands on the edge of the sole unit and takes over the inverted waffle rubber outsole.
The Nike LeBron TR1 Better with Age releases on November 11, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $130.
