Nike's skateboarding division, Nike SB, has been at the forefront of innovation within the skating community, recently introducing the kids’ exclusive Nike SB First Day. As we head into the summer of 2024, Nike SB is set to release the Nike SB PS8, a model that pays homage to the pioneering spirit of the late Sandy Bodecker, whose influence on Nike SB can still be felt today. Bodecker, who helped create Nike’s skateboarding division, held the Instagram handle “@problemsolver8.” Alongside these new models, Nike SB has plans to bring back the Nike SB FC Classic later in the year.
The Nike SB PS8 Ultramarine is crafted to meet the rigorous demands of skateboarding, featuring a robust construction with a blend of leather and innovative Flyknit, coated with polyurethane for enhanced durability that withstands the scrapes and scuffs of daily skate use. The design incorporates multiple Swoosh logos, with a prominent one on the midfoot embellished with a Flyknit tag, highlighting the shoe's advanced material makeup. This sneaker is engineered for performance and equipped with a flexible rubber midsole integrated with a comfortable foam compound and a supportive nylon plate, offering both resilience and responsive cushioning underfoot.
The Nike SB PS8 Ultramarine will release in July 2024 through Nike and select Nike SB retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to catch all the latest updates on releases, raffles, and more in the sneaker world.
