NBA All-Star season is almost upon us and besides the events surrounding this break in the league, brands like Nike prepare a slew of sneaker releases to celebrate both its roster of athletes and the All-Star Game itself. So far, a variety of Nike Sportswear models have been given the treatment, including Penny Hardaway’s Foamposite PE and LeBron’s redesign of the LeBron 20, but now we have first looks at Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Nike Zoom Freak 4 ready for this weekend.
Coming with its standard construction of mesh and TPU, the silhouette comes covered in shades of purple, black, white, pink, and gold. The majority of the sneaker takes on a purple tint, as seen around the toebox, midfoot, tongue, and sockliner, while black/gold accents appear on the tongue and via the heel overlay. Near the midfoot, a reverse Swoosh detail wraps up from the foam midsole and takes on a marbled pink look which comes surrounded by speckles of gold. Back on the heel, the Roman numerals “MMXXIII” (which translates to 2023) is embroidered into a black heel tab in grey while the design of the silhouette is completed by a white foam midsole and purple rubber outsole.
The Nike Zoom Freak 4 All-Star is set to release on February 16th, 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $135.
