Nike Basketball has long reigned as one of the premier performance lines inside and outside of the NBA with stars like LeBron James and Kevin Durant having their own signature silhouettes. One of the younger talents on their ever-expanding roster, Giannis Antetokounmpo, has just reached his 4th model in his Zoom Freak line with Nike which continues to get new colorways hit shelves. With many of these colors coming inspired by Giannis’ personal life, the latest rendition takes on colors that remind us of one of his favorite vacation spots, the Bahamas.
Tropical-like shades like vivid purple and hyper pink appear throughout the synthetic upper designed for performance basketball with the former of the two colors wrapping from the side of the toe, over the midfoot, and up to the eyestays. On the toebox, you’ll find hyper-pink TPU overlays accented by a bold yellow fused overlay along the medial side while the tongue takes on an orange hue. Atop the tongue, a split Zoom Freak and compass logo take over the blue mesh portion with more blue hues landing along the collar and heel. More branding details appear in the form of the reverse Nike Swoosh, coming in a textured blue along the lateral side and purple embroidery on the medial. Underfoot sits a pink-hued foam midsole paired with a multi-color grippy rubber outsole.
The Nike Zoom Freak 4 Bahamas is set to release on December 15th, 2022 through Nike and select Nike Basketball retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s, grade school, and pre-school sizing, the retail price is set at $130, $105, and $80 respectively.
