The Nike Zoom Freak 5 Greece x Nigeria Releases September 14

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s journey with Nike continues to evolve, with each new release in his signature series revealing another layer of his multifaceted life. The Zoom Freak 5, now the fifth edition in the lineup, has so far offered a window into Giannis’ personal experiences—whether it’s his NBA career, Greek upbringing, or tributes to his family. This September, another chapter is added to the story as the sneaker gets a "Greece x Nigeria" makeover, paying homage to Giannis’ dual heritage.

The Nike Zoom Freak 5 "Greece x Nigeria" combines various materials, including leather, engineered mesh, and suede. Predominantly clad in blue, the upper features leather and mesh panels, setting the stage for a light green suede Swoosh on the lateral midfoot. Accents of tan and green grace the eyelets, while a purple hue is used for the embroidered Giannis logo on the tongue and his signature on the inner tongue lining. A white and gold foam midsole is accentuated by the names of Giannis’ family members on the medial side. Capping off the look is a tie-dye rubber outsole combined with solid green sections.

Alongside this adult pair, a GS variant will launch with a different color scheme. This pair features similar shades with different colorblocking. Most of the model comes in the green shade found on the Swoosh on the adult pair, while we see blue hues land on the Swoosh, tongue, and heel. Pops of color make their mark on Giannis' branding details along the tongue and insole and on nylon portions part of the pull tab and eyestays. This rests above a white foam midsole and a multi-color tie-dye rubber outsole.

The Nike Zoom Freak 5 Greece x Nigeria Pack will release September 14, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. The men's version will retail for $130 will the kids exclusive will retail for $105 (GS) and $80 (PS), respectively.
