While the hype surrounding the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 has slowed, people are still rocking with it heavily. While most colorways no longer sell out due to the influx of releases, Vomero's are a staple in many people's everyday rotation. While Nike didn't kill the Vomero 5 as originally intended, due to its success and the lack of hype surrounding the Pegasus 2K5, the sneaker is on a bit of a downfall. It is slowly making its way onto store shelves alongside the Nike Dunk, becoming a staple silhouette for consumers to buy regularly. So, while the sneaker wasn't put in the vault, some may say that Nike still killed it by continuing to drop multiple colorways monthly.
While some still love the Nike Zoom Vomero 5, the feeling of rocking it and not seeing it on store shelves has come and gone. No longer do you have to worry about colorways selling out instantly. With pairs like Life Lime, Jade Horizon, and Pearl White (W) recently released and available to purchase, Nike is prepping more pairs for Fall 2024, such as Hot Punch.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Hot Punch is exactly what its colorway is labeled: Hot Punch. A burst of brightness takes over the entire sneaker, from the upper to the sole. Traditional leather overlays are paired with mesh underlays, with 3M reflective hits throughout, adding some extra flare to this pair. Finishing things off for this Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is its traditional Zoom Air cushioned Cushlon midsole, sitting atop a solid rubber outsole.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Hot Punch is set to release on July 20, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
