For the latest makeover, Nike is looking back to its days as Blue Ribbon Sports, the original name Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight started the company with.
The ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 3 BRS blends the brand's rich history with modern innovation. The design aesthetic of the pattern on the tongue and sole harks back to the '70s, though it retains its ultra-breathable Flyknit upper in white. The asymmetric tongue is a standout element, adorned with a vibrant pattern in shades of orange, red, and cream, reminiscent of the era's bold styles.
Adding to the retro charm, the sneaker sports blue accents on the tongue branding and the iconic Swoosh on the midfoot. The old-school Nike font on the tongue adds a touch of nostalgic flair. Inside, the '70s-inspired pattern continues, enhancing the vintage feel, while the reverse of the tongue offers a unique personalization space for runners to jot down their names and running goals.
