Nike’s Kiss My Airs Theme Also Appears On This Air Max 95
PublishedPlaying a large part in the success of Nike, Air technology skyrocketed in the 90s with the iconic Nike Air Max line and has since become one of the most recognizable sneakers in existence. As a part of their yearly Air Max Day celebration, The Swoosh usually crafts a handful of sneakers in the line across its various silhouettes and it seems 2023 will be telling the world to “Kiss My Airs” as the Air Max Plus and Air Max 97 have already appeared in colorways taking on this phrase. Now, a fan favorite from the mid-90s (the Nike Air Max 95) is joining the “Kiss My Airs” party.
Familiar colors that are found on classic AM 95 colorways are present like volt green hues, blues, and mixtures of greys and whites across the mesh and suede construction. Around the mudguard and two of the wavy side panels sits a dot pattern that comes in a slightly different shade compared to the suede panel it sits upon while the other two wavy panels come in a monochromatic grey finish. Working towards the eyestays you’ll find a black and a white mesh that partially covers the blue nylon holding the set of white laces. Branding details remain standard for the AM 95 with “Air Max” written atop the tongue and a Nike Swoosh along the medial heel, however, just below this logo sits a tag reading “Kiss My Airs.” Underfoot sits a blacked-out foam midsole with visible air units in the forefoot and heel coming in neon green and blue respectively. Rounding out the design is the black rubber outsole with neon green hits.
The Nike Air Max 95 Kiss My Airs is set to release in the Spring of 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is currently TBA.
