When Virgil Abloh’s Off-White worked with Nike on The Ten in 2017, the landscape of sneaker collaborations forever changed. Today, the influence of this monumental project is felt far and wide as Nike and Jordan Brand allow collaborators to bring significant changes to their silhouettes, partnering with those who, years ago, would never be allowed to touch a Nike sneaker.
While it’s been some time since the last Off-White x Nike release, that being the Grim Reaper AF1 Mid, rumors sprung up back in August that the iconic Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High Canary Yellow would finally make its way to retail shelves in 2025. However, this rumor was quickly shot down, but sources like SneakermarketRO and Elden Monitors say a new Air Jordan 1 High by Off-White will released in 2025.
The exact colorway for this new Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High remains a mystery, though both sources teased that we may see a new variant of the European-exclusive White colorway. The SKU reported for this release begins the same as the Chicago colorway, which came with a different construction than the University Blue and White colorways of Virgil’s AJ 1. This detail possibly indicates that we’ll see the same construction as the Chicago variant, which uses a different material on its toe and midfoot panel.
The rumored release of this new Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High is potentially slated for the Fall/Winter 2025 seasons. If the pair does release, expect a drop through Canary Yellow, Off-White storefronts, Nike SNKRS, and potentially select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is to be announced. To stay up-to-date on the latest developments in this story, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
