After the fallout of the adidas Yeezy partnership and the passing of Virgil Abloh, a significant void has been left in the hype sneaker space. That’s not to say that collaborators and brands aren’t pumping out quality releases, but that special something that came with Off-White Jordans and early Off-White x Nike x Nike drops still seems to be missing. Well, for those who missed that era or have never had the chance to experience it, Off-White is set to drop another collaborative Air Jordan 1 come Holiday 2025.
For the duo’s return to MJ’s first signature sneaker, which comes during the model’s 40th anniversary in 2025, they’re coating the sneaker in a simple white color palette. While this may lead you to believe that we’re getting a retro of the Euro-exclusive color, the SKU for the sneaker is different. It’s labeled “Alaska,” perhaps a reference to the “ALASKA ALASKA” design and creative service studio founded by Virgil Abloh.

The product SKU’s beginning portion matches the original Chicago pair, differing from the other two Off-White x Air Jordan 1 colorways. This means the construction will be the same as the original version, featuring slightly different material choices and construction. Expect to see deconstructed details, Off-White’s Helvetica text on the medial midfoot, and the classic zip-tie as part of this Alaska colorway.
Virgil’s take on the Air Jordan 1 was initially released in the Chicago colorway in 2017 as part of Off-White’s The Ten Collection. It was later given two makeovers — University Blue and the European-exclusive White in 2018. Since then, the Off-White x Jordan connection has strayed from the iconic Air Jordan 1, although a few different sample pairs and rumored releases have appeared. One of these is the illustrious Canary Yellow colorway, long rumored to be the next Off-White x Air Jordan 1 release. On top of this, rumors of this new unseen colorway from late last year.
The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG SP Alaska is set to release in Holiday 2025 through Nike, Off-White, and possibly via select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $190. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
