With the massive resurgence of collectibles like trading cards in recent years, many sneakerheads jumped head first into the hobby during the days of stimulus checks and lockdown. As both hobbies can be looked at as commodities, why not combine the two? Well, thats exactly what footwear brand Reebok and sports card manufacturer Panini America have done, bringing their coveted “Prizm” cards to a slew of Allen Iverson sneakers. On top of the two revealed sneakers, the F&F and “Tiger Prizm” Reebok Question Mid, the collaboration will include apparel and limited edition trading cards.
To bring the “Prizm” card to life on both the Question Low and Question Mid, special details like the all-over logo branding, embroidered A.I autographs, light-reactive parallel treatments, and much more throughout the three publicly released sneakers. In order of rarity, we’ve got the Question Mid “Tiger Prizm,” Question Low “Rookie Signature Prizm,” and Question Mid “Black Pulsar Prizm.” For the unseen-until-now Question Mid “Black Pulsar Prizm,” a combo of suede and patent leather takes over most of the upper with mesh landing on the tongue. Stealthy black hues cover the aforementioned materials with Panini branding making its mark on the tongue and back of the heel. Underfoot, a white Hexalite cushioned midsole comes paired with a semi-translucent grey rubber outsole.
Bringing Iverson’s rookie team colors to life, the Question Low “Rookie Signature Prizm” brings vibrant blue shades to the patent leather and suede upper with the addition of A.I’s signature embroidered in white on the toe. Brighter blue patent leather lands atop the tongue co-branded logos as well as on the profile and heel while the suede toecap and sockliner partake in a darker blue hue. Contrasting all of this is the black Hexalite cushioned midsole and semi-translucent icy blue rubber outsole.
Launching alongside the sneakers will be a retro-inspired apparel capsule, though as of this writing, no images of the offerings have emerged. What we do know, however, is that select pairs will come with a limited-edition Panini America x Reebok Iverson trading card pack, featuring early 2000s Allen Iverson. Some of the rarer pulls include autographed cards, Iverson-worn patches, and much more.
The Panini America x Reebok Collection with its apparel, trading cards, and sneakers, is set to release globally through Reebok and select retailers beginning on November 4th, 2022. For the sneakers, the two Question Mids will retail for $170 while the Low variant will be priced at $140. Clothing is expected to retail between $40 and $70.
