Parris Goebel, a force to be reckoned with in the world of dance and choreography, will soon extend her creative reach into sneaker design with a Nike Dunk Low collaboration.
Unfamiliar with Parris Goebel? Well, the New Zealander has garnered global acclaim for her work with artists including Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and more. She has been the choreography mastermind behind Beyonce's 2013 NFL Super Bowl performance as well as the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show by Rihana. Not stopping at choreography, Goebel has also served as creative director for Rihanna's Savage X Fenty show. She's previously worked with Nike through sponsored workshops, a spot in the marketing for last year's Jacquemus collaboration, and her own apparel collection.
Parris’ take on the Dunk Low utilizes a playful pink patent leather overlays combined with bronzine leather underlays. Clear Jade accents cover the patent leather Nike "Check" that extends from the mid panels to the raised "Nike" lettering present on the sneaker's heel panel. Moving on down, an aged midsole is paired with a playful pink rubber outsole. Rounding things out is a gold Nike dubrae, upside down Nike branding on the sneaker's tongue tag, and Parris Goebel branding on the insoles.
The Parris Goebel x Nike Dunk Low will release October 24, 2023, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
