Now that adidas has cut ties with Ye and his Yeezy brand, the German sportswear giant is going to have to recoup the lost revenue the line brought in by leaning on the other collaborators in their back pocket. One who at a certain point was just as dominant as Yeezy, Pharrell Williams, has fallen by the wayside in terms of popularity amongst sneakerheads with his Humanrace line as the once-popular HU NMD became saturated with colorways and redesigns. Now in 2022, the model has returned to its OG sole unit and has been spotted in various Animal Print colorways, the latest being an all-over Grey look.
Just like the other Animal Print releases, the sneaker maintains its iconic construction of Primeknit, TPU, and Boost with the former of the three featuring black cheetah print embroidery all throughout. As for the knit itself, a tonal grey shade takes over which matches the accenting color of the two-tone lace set. This weaves in and out of the iconic TPU side cage, which comes in a semi-translucent white shade, allowing you to customize your lacing setup to your choosing. Black leather appears on the split branded heel tab, hosting Pharrell branding on the left pair and a Trefoil logo on the right. Underfoot, a greyed-out Boost midsole features semi-translucent TPU plugs near the heel and forefoot while the sneaker is rounded out by a black rubber outsole.
The Pharrell Williams x adidas HU NMD Animal Print Grey is set to release on November 23rd, 2022 through adidas Confirmed and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220.
