Nowadays, collaborators come and go as they please, teaming up with one brand for a few months before jumping to another soon after. With that said, Pharrell Williams and adidas Originals have been working together for almost a decade now. Back in 2014, the American record producer, artist, and fashion icon dropped the legendary "Supercolor Pack." World renowned for its awesome selection of colorways, the collection is coveted even after all this time. As we head towards the partnership's tenth anniversary, Skateboard P is ready to reveal his next major release with the Pharrell x adidas NMD S1 Humanrace "Maubs." First teased all the way back in Summer of 2022, the hotly-anticipated sneaker has finally arrived.
Unlike Pharrell's NMD_S1 RYAT series, this all-new silhouette does away with the boot-like structure in favor of a low-top profile that's more akin to the conventional S1. Dropping the Primeknit construction for versatile canvas, this is painted in an aluminum and light brown palette that's sure to work with any fit you throw on. Thick rope laces tie everything together, and underfoot, you'll find an extra chunky Boost midsole that's dipped in a bold blue hue. This is covered in Trefoil logos underfoot as a tribute to retro models of the past, and is complemented by "Humanrace" branding which curves from the lateral side all the way towards the vamp, finalizing the design.
The Pharrell x adidas NMD_S1 Humanrace Maubs released on January 16th, 2023 at adidas, the CONFIRMED app, and select retailers, with a worldwide launch scheduled for January 27th, 2023. Expected to be available in men's sizes, it'll retail for $180.
