Puma may have a rich heritage featuring iconic silhouettes like the Puma Suede and Puma Clyde. However, the German sportswear label looks to the future with its newer designs. On top of introducing the Puma Plexus in 2023, we saw the brand bring forth a 2000s-inspired silhouette dubbed the Puma Velophasis. While it has seen a series of inline releases, Puma is now tapping LA-based streetwear label Pleasures for a collaborative colorway.
Keeping its exaggerated and chunky design, we see Pleasures add a vibrant purple/fuchsia color scheme to the Puma Velophasis. Various leather panels across the upper come in a pink hue with black accents marking the toebox and a large Puma Formstrip on the midfoot. For its base layer, a purple ripstop with smoky accents pairs well with the vibrant leather overlays. This shade continues onto the tongue, where we spot a set of tonal pink laces alongside Pleasures and Puma branding. Another hit of Pleasures branding makes its home on the semi-translucent rubber overlay near the collar. Underfoot sits a chunky foam midsole in a worn-away pink finish paired with a pink rubber outsole.
The Pleasures x Puma Velophasis will release June 23rd through Pleasures. The retail price is set at $150. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
