Puma’s deep-rooted history in the automotive field, specifically with performance racing, has seen the German sportswear labels create footwear for some of the world's top car brands. Formula One aside, Porsche has now tapped Puma to create a collection of footwear and apparel to celebrate the upcoming 50-year anniversary of ANDIAL, a performance racing company that was part of legendary wins for Porsche during the ‘70s and ‘80s.
On the footwear side, Puma has chosen the Indoor silhouette, a sneaker that was launched during the heyday of ANDIAL, to commemorate the company. One pair comes primarily in Black, while the other pair takes on a White finish, each featuring leather bases and suede overlays. The formstrip and tongue tag both come with a pattern and color scheme directly derived from the racing livery ANDIAL 935-L Moby Dick, which won the 1983 Daytona 24 Hours. ANDIAL branding replaces the usual Puma text on the tongue tag and also finds a home along the lace dubrae and added keychain. Finishing the sneaker is the tonal rubber midsole and outsole. Both pairs of shoes come packaged in a custom ANDIAL, Porsche, and Puma co-branded box that continues the racing livery theme from the ANDIAL 935-L Moby Dick.
The Porsche x Puma Indoor ANDIAL Pack was released on November 12, 2024 and is available now through the official Porsche online shop. Offered in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $189.
