Every March we see the most significant portion of the college basketball season as the NCAA March Madness tournament takes place. 64 teams across the nation compete to be crowned the champion and Reebok is seemingly honoring some of the top teams this year with retro basketball silhouettes. Already seen with Allen Iverson’s Reebok Answer DMX in a “Georgetown” colorway, the infamous Reebok Pump Omni Zone 2 comes in a “Kentucky” color scheme.
Just like the Kentucky Wildcats uniform, Reebok dresses the Pump Omni Zone 2 in a clean white and blue color scheme with the majority of the leather and TPU construction taking on shades of white. This is seen via the leather overlays near the toe, eyestays, and collar while blue mesh peeks through on the tongue, midfoot, and collar. Helping keep the white lace set in place is a TPU side cage that features blue hits near the top with even more blue accents taking over the branding details found atop the tongue and near the lateral heel. Back on the spine of the heel, we see a Hexalite-branded emblem appear in black and blue. Rounding everything out is the white and blue rubber midsole paired with a similarly colored rubber outsole.
The Reebok Pump Omni Zone 2 Kentucky is set to release on March 25th, 2023 through Reebok and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
