Shaquille O’Neil has cemented himself in NBA history for his physical presence on the court (and his terrible free throw percentage), however, his size could translate into plenty of other sports. For Reebok, the sportswear label is looking into an alternate universe where Shaq played the sport of tennis with a remixed silhouette that takes features from the Shaq Attaq and Court Victory Pump.
Taking on a 90s-like color scheme of white, black, green, and grey, the silhouette features additional details from the Reebok Court Victory, such as TPU layers, while classic Shaq Attaq construction remains. The majority of the upper comes in a white shade while the “Reebok” branded overlay along the midfoot takes on a black finish. Shades of green make their mark on the heel and lining of the tongue in a checkerboard-like pattern while a TPU overlay near the midfoot also comes in a similar green shade. Back on the heel, the iconic “Shaq” text that typically features a dunkman logo gets redesigned to feature a tennis serve. Rounding out the design is the two-tone white and purple midsole paired with a black and purple rubber outsole.
The Reebok Shaq Attaq Victory Pump is set to release on February 17th, 2023 through Reebok and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
