New York-based fashion brand Sandy Liang has again teamed up with Salomon for their second collaboration, aptly titled Chapter 2. This partnership significantly evolved from their first collaboration, blending Sandy Liang's unique design perspective with Salomon's technical prowess. The first collaboration, launched in 2023, reimagined Salomon’s iconic styles with elements of nostalgia and femininity. The upcoming collection expands on these themes, introducing two new models: the Speedcross 3 Ribbon Sandy Liang and the RX MJ Sandy Liang.
The Speedcross 3 Ribbon Sandy Liang is a creative reinterpretation of the legacy Speedcross 3, a lightweight and highly cushioned trail runner known for its protection and stability. This model merges the original's technical performance with ballet's poetic elegance. It features pink satin ribbons that weave and dance from the shoe to the calf, adding a delicate touch to the silhouette.
The RX MJ Sandy Liang draws inspiration from the traditional Mary-Jane shoe, combining it with the comfort and durability of the RX MOC 3.0. This shoe is ideal for long city walks or countryside explorations due to its design and is meant to pair seamlessly with a feminine wardrobe. It features a lightweight cushioned sole for premium comfort, crafted with nubuck leather and technical 3D open mesh. This model is available in Black and Vanilla Ice.
The Sandy Liang x Salomon Chapter 2 Collection will release on July 18, 2024, via Sandy Liang's site and on July 25, 2024, via Salomon and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $160 for the Speedcross 3 and $150 for the RX MJ Sandy Liang.
