Converse is teaming up with Sanrio, the Japanese company known for the universally-loved character Hello Kitty on the Chuck Taylor All-Star. The Sanrio x Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Collection includes four vibrant sneakers showcasing iconic characters created by the Japanese brand.
Hello Kitty graces two models, one on the All-Star High and the other on the All-Star Ox. The All-Star High also features My Melody and Cinnamoroll in two additional designs. Canvas uppers set the stage for the three All-Star Highs, each replacing the typical lateral Converse branding with images of the respective characters. The uppers are each rendered in a tonal shade, complemented by metallic silver, white, and black accents. Co-branded details adorn the tongue tag and insole. The All-Star Ox offers a twist with a faux fur upper, Hello Kitty's bow on the lateral collar, and vibrant red and blue branding on the heel, insole, and parts of the rubber sole unit.
The Sanrio x Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Collection will release in Japan on July 21, 2023, through Sanrio and select retailers online and in-store. The retail price is set at $95 for the All-Star High and $111 for the All-Star Ox.
