With the NBA season only a few short weeks away, we’re beginning to see a variety of new footwear offerings from brands and signature athletes across the industry. Puma already launched LaMelo Ball’s fourth signature sneaker, the MB.04, but has been tight-lipped about a follow-up for Scoot Henderson, whose debut sneaker, the Scoot Zeros, launched last year. However, NBA Media Day was where Puma and Scoot decided to debut the Scoot Zeros II.
This early look shows a radical change to the silhouette, on the upper and the sole unit. Unlike the original, which kept its paneling to a minimum with a toebox overlay, fused TPU, and a mesh base, this new silhouette goes overboard. Multiple panels land along the toe and eyelets with the eyestay overlays extending off the side of the silhouette. Puma’s Formstrip is placed on the lateral side, and a shark tooth-like design is placed in the center. Other new details include an updated heel badge, a fast-eyeleting system, and a lockdown webbing support system. Underfoot, the shoe contains Nitro cushioning and a TPU Proplate, with this colorway featuring a tonal red finish across the midsole and outsole.
The Puma Scoot Zeros II will debut on December 20, 2024, through Puma’s website, mobile app, the Puma NYC flagship store, Foot Locker, and Champs. Available in men's and kids' sizing, the retail price has yet to be revealed.
