Earlier in the year, Gallery Dept. launched its first collaborative collection with UGG, tackling the ever-popular UGG Tasman Slipper and the Classic Boot. For the duo’s second collaborative collection, Josué Thomas and his Gallery Dept. label are working on four styles: The Stitched Boot, Denim Boot, Canvas Boot, and Canvas Tasman.
As with many of Gallery Dept.’s products, the brand’s latest UGG project uses upcycled and purple-driven materials, with the entire collection using regenerative leather, recycled denim, and surplus canvas bags sourced by Gallery Dept. For the Stitched Boot, we see a reimagination of a cowboy boot with waterproof leather and stitched details across the toe and collar. On the Denim Boot, the entire upper comes constructed with recycled denim, making every pair unique and unique. Finally, the Canvas Boot and Canvas Tasman take inspiration from Josué Thomas’s love for upcycling, as each is made from recycled canvas bags. Akin to the Denim Boot, using upcycled materials, will make each pair one-of-one and unique.
The second Gallery Dept. x UGG Collection will release on October 18, 2024, through UGG, Gallery Dept., and select retailers globally, including Maxfield, Feature, Extra Butter, and A Ma Maniere here in the United States. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $495 for the Denim Boot and Canvas Boot, $425 for the Tasman, and $350 for the Stitched Boot.
