Slam Jam, a European retail titan, has crafted a reputation for bridging high fashion and subcultural style, often blending urban flair with outdoor functionality through its numerous collaborations. Reuniting with Salomon, a brand synonymous with trail-blazing and advanced sport utility footwear, the pairing generates another compelling chapter in collaborative sneaker releases. Where Slam Jam brings an unerring sense of streetwise aesthetics, Salomon injects its legendary outdoor functionality, ensuring that their combined visions seamlessly marry style and substance, particularly in the imminent release of the XT Quest 1, Silver edition.
The Slam Jam x Salomon XT Quest 1 balances a fine line between striking aesthetics and practical utility. With a composition that speaks to urban adventurers and casual wearers, it retains its quintessential leather and mesh construction. The sneaker drapes itself in a lustrous metallic silver finish, accented with dark grey weaving through the center of its wave-like leather overlays and mingling subtly on the mesh base. While the Salomon branding is strategically placed near the toe and heel, discernible even from afar, Slam Jam’s branding gets placed on the center of the tongue. The journey concludes underfoot with a tonal silver and white midsole and a rugged, outdoor-ready rubber outsole.
The Slam Jam x Salomon XT Quest 1 Silver will release first on November 2, 2023 exclusively through Slam Jam. A wider release will follow on November 7 via Salomon, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, retail is set at $225.
