Air Max Day is here, and Nike dropped some heat on us to celebrate the Air Max series. Alongside the Air Max DNs debut, the Air Max 1 ‘86 Air Max Day Royal “shock dropped” earlier this morning. Now that product drops are over, the internet has been filled with discussions on classic Air Max sneakers, and one pair consistently is brought up: the Stash x Nike Air Max 95. Initially released in 2006 as part of the Artist Series, Stash reimagined the Air Max 95 with his distinct style, resulting in a sneaker that has remained a sought-after grail for many collectors. Now, the graffiti artist has teased a retro of the pair for Air Max Day 2025.
Update: The Stash x Nike Air Max 95 release has been bumped up from its initial Air Max Day 2025 drop to a Holiday 2024 release.
Originally teased via a pixelated photo on Stash’s Instagram, the upcoming retro slightly changes the originals design. A similar color palette, one that is synonymous with Stash's work, is applied to the upper as we see various blue and grey shades. However, the biggest change is the material makeup. Ripstop is utilized for the light blue shade around the tongue while we also see the eyelets no longer being hidden by this panel. Down below, the speckled Air Max 95 midsole remains.
The Stash x Nike Air Max 95 was originally rumored to release on March 26, 2025, aligning with Air Max Day celebrations. However, the release date has been pushed up to December 13, 2024. They will be available via Nike, SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $200.
