The Stone Island x New Balance TDS FuelCell C_1 Spring 2025 Collection Releases Soon

Long heralded for its outerwear, Stone Island has journeyed across the footwear industry for decades, working with various labels on several projects. It wasn’t until the label began to work with New Balance in 2021 that a consistent partner would emerge for Stone Island, having collaborated on multiple sneakers and releases over the last four years. Following up on the duo’s three-pack of 991v2 colorways, they’re revisiting a silhouette they introduced in 2023 — the FuelCell C_1.
Designed in collaboration with New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio, the brand’s experimental division that previously worked with Stone Island on the FuelCell RC Elite v2, the performance runner gets two new makeovers. The last FuelCell C_1 colorways from 2023, one in Tan and the other in Military Green, each took on earthy hues, while this new collection sticks to a monochromatic neutral color palette of Black and White.
Each pair has the same 3D knit upper as the original, which contains a large TPU NB logo on the forefoot. Toggle lacing provides some contrast: The black colorway features a blue pop on the toggle, while the White rendition features a red accent. Stone Island branding on the heel, a stacked FuelCell-cushioned midsole, and a grippy outsole with cutouts near the toe and heel complete the design.
The Stone Island x New Balance TDS FuelCell C_1 Spring 2025 Collection will release in the coming weeks through Stone Island online.
