Stussy’s history of collaborative efforts with Converse stretches back to 2011 with their spin on the Converse CX-Pro Ox. With almost yearly releases becoming common until 2017, the two brands haven’t crossed paths until now, with the upcoming Stussy x Converse Chuck 70 Hi.
Alongside an apparel collection, Stussy can subtly add its touch to the age-old fashion staple through a minimal but noticeable redesign. Maintaining the classic look is the black canvas that covers the upper entirely, minus the standard rubber toecap and stitching that comes in white. Chrome metal eyelets pop between the white stitching that runs up the siding. The literal star of the show is the re-designed Converse Star logo placed near the collar, mimicking the classic Stussy graffiti font. Inside the sneaker, you’ll find a co-branded Stussy and Converse logo printed onto the insole. The white midsole with accenting black lining surrounds the entire look.
The Stussy x Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star 70s Hi was originally released on Stussy on June 10, 2022. A wider release followed shortly thereafter via Converse and select retailers online and in-store on June 16th. A Nike SNKRS release happened on September 1st. On December 4, 2023, they are set to restock via Converse. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
