One of Cartoon Network's most beloved animated series, The Powerpuff Girls, has been on a roll regarding collaborative efforts in the footwear industry over the last year. Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles’ recent collaborations include a highly coveted partnership with Nike SB in 2023 and an upcoming collaboration with Crocs on the Classic Clog silhouette. The iconic trio is teaming up with Converse to release a collection that celebrates their legacy.
The Powerpuff Girls x Converse Collection includes two versions of the Chunkyline Hi and three versions of the All-Star Light PLTS Hi, each paying homage to the animated characters. The Chunkyline Hi comes in simple White Pink, and Black White color palettes, featuring platform soles and character patches of Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles on the upper. These patches are accompanied by heart and star graphics and The Powerpuff Girls logo. Inside, the sneakers boast a co-branded Powerpuff Girls insole.
The All-Star Light PLTS Hi offers individual colorways for each character, with the canvas upper reflecting their respective color schemes. The tongue tag features a character portrait, while the insole showcases a co-branded Converse and The Powerpuff Girls logo. An additional patch for The Powerpuff Girls is located on the lateral side, with the medial side hosting the classic Converse All-Star patch. Underfoot, each pair is finished with a creamy rubber midsole. Each pair is housed in a custom Powerpuff Girls-branded box decorated with artwork of the characters on the lid and sidewall.
The Powerpuff Girls x Converse Collection will release on August 30, 2024, through Converse Japan online. Available in gradeschool sizing, the retail price is set at $90 for the All-Star Light PLTS and $110 for the All-Star Chunkykine Hi.
