Rumor had it that one of the holy grails in the sneaker game was set for a comeback. Originally released in 2005, the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 Retro was one of the most limited drops of all-time. It was available exclusively via raffle through UNFTD, limited to 72 pairs. The kicks sold out instantly of course and as the years passed, the rarity and value of these AJ 4’s continued to skyrocket.
In 2018 an unauthorized sample popped up and made the rounds online. This led to speculation that the highly coveted collab from the LA-based label was indeed returning. However, outside of those sample pairs nothing else surfaced. After no official word from Undefeated nor Jordan Brand made it seem like those samples were too good to be true. Albeit the quality and materials are significantly different between them and the OG 2005 pair.
Here in 2022, a few highly reputable sources in the sneaker scene hinted at the possibility of the return of the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 Retro. Unfortunately, this rumor was as accurate at the Air Jordan 11 Retro "Gamma" re-releasing this year, goose egg. The closest we will be getting this year is the Air Jordan 4 Retro "Olive Canvas" edition. Obviously things can always change and anything can happen in the future. But for now, the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 Retro as well as the Air Jordan 11 Retro "Gamma" will not be re-released in 2022.
