Over the last few years, Chris Gibbs and his brand Union LA have become vital partners for Nike and Jordan Brand. Helping introduce the AJKO 1 Low to the world and teaming up with his wife Bephies’ beauty business on the Jordan 1 High (and the Elevate), Gibbs is now heading to Converse to bring his international style to Converse Skateboarding. Releasing exclusively in Japan, the Union x Converse Skateboarding CX-Pro SK Ox+ "Beige" has been revealed.
Dressed in a premium beige suede upper, Union keeps things simple on the skateboard-ready silhouette by contrasting the earth tones with white hits. As usual, Union branding appears as a yellow “UN/LA” tag (placed on the heel), while Converse logos appear in their standard location on the midfoot. More hits of white make their mark on the rubberized toe cap, plastic eyelets, and lace set. The packaging includes two more sets of laces, one creamy/tan set and another matching Union’s infamous yellow shade. Underfoot sits a white midsole paired with a yellow rubber outsole perfect for hitting the griptape.
The Union x Converse Skateboarding CX-Pro SK Ox+ Beige is set to release on April 28th, 2023, exclusively through Union Japan online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at 17,600 Yen (approximately $130 USD).
