It’s a big year for UNO with 2022 being it’s 50th Anniversary. Nike has come to their side to honor the classic card game on a handful of Nike silhouettes including an Air Force 1 and a pack of Zoom Freak 3’s representing the four colors of the game. The famous Wild Card gets its turn on yet another Nike Zoom Freak 3.
With performance basketball in mind, modern materials alongside tried and true ones such as leather and plastic fused overlays dress the silhouette. The base layer is constructed with a mesh fabric featuring the Wild Card from UNO, sitting below the aforementioned leather and fused overlays layered across the sneaker. A plastic lock down strap covers the red and green laces with a 50th Anniversary UNO card covering the tongue on the right pair.
These mismatched looks and colors are seen along the midfoot as well with reverse Nike Swoosh coming in red, yellow, green and blue, also seen on the pull tabs located on the tongue and heel. Further UNO branding makes it onto the insole of the left pair and embroidered onto the medial side of both sneakers. Rounding out the look is a black midsole accented by red and yellow overlays paired to a multicolored outsole.
The UNO x Nike Zoom Freak 3 Wild Card is set to release in 2022 through Nike and select Nike retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, a retail price has yet to be announced. In addition, each pair comes with a custom set of UNO playing cards.
