Wacko Maria has made a pretty big name for itself over the past few years. Established in 2005, the Keiji Ishizuka and Atsuhiko Mori-helmed label is renowned worldwide for its Americana-influenced pieces that play around big and bold patterns. For 2022, the Japanese brand has reunited with Vans once again for the Wacko Maria x Vans Authentic "Leopard" Pack, and it’s quite obvious that these were designed to turn heads.
The last time the Tokyo-based brand teamed up with the Anaheim skate company was back in April of last year when they released a range of vinyl record-inspired sneakers. This year, Wacko Maria is setting its sights on the legendary Authentic silhouette, applying a leopard print motif across gray and orange pairs. In terms of materials, the uppers are crafted from canvas, while the midsole is done up in vulcanized rubber, making these the perfect skate shoe for every occasion. Rounding it all off, co-branded detailing is printed on the insole, finalizing the simple yet striking designs.
The Wacko Maria x Vans Authentic Leopard Pack is set to release on August 27th, 2022. It will drop at Vans, Wacko Maria, and at select retailers worldwide, both online and in-store.
