Back in 2006 Japanese designer Yosuke Aizawa founded the outdoor-focused fashion label White Mountaineering and has since grown it into a force in the space. On top of inline collections every season, the label has partnered with plenty of other brands in the fashion world - Vans included. While their last link-up was way back in 2010 on a special Mountain Edition silhouette, the duo are teaming up on the Vans Authentic and Classic Slip-On in 2023.
Elevating both silhouettes, the two-pack comes dressed in black calf leather throughout each of their uppers while maintaining a simple two-tone black/white color scheme throughout. Both models feature teeth-like graphics trimming the edge of the vamp, toe, and collar while we see Vans' iconic nylon tag remain in its usual place. On the insole, you’ll spot a co-branded Vans and White Mountaineering logo. Finishing the design is the white rubber sole unit with black “Off The Wall” branding on the heel paired with a gum rubber outsole.
The White Mountaineering x Vans Collection is set to release on March 25th, 2023 through White Mountaineering and select retailers in Japan. Both pairs in the pack will be available in men’s sizing and retail for ￥15,400 (approx $117 USD).
