Kobe Bryant’s final signature sneaker with adidas, which now goes by the name the adidas Crazy 2, was so disliked by the legend that he jumped ship to Nike. While we can thank the boundary-pushing design for the creation and success of the Nike Kobe line, adidas is finally bringing back the silhouette in retro form for the first time since its initial release in 2001. On top of the All-Star and Silver Metallic colors, adidas is giving the sneaker a Zero Metallic makeover.
Across the synthetic upper, we see a single shade of zero metallic, taking over the profile, the tongue, and the lower portion of the collar. A cream hue is applied to the rubberized toe cap, with another accenting hue on the grey perforated leather surrounding the tongue. Although it appears the silhouette is a slip-on lace-less design, the shroud across the tongue conceals the black lace set below.

More cream details are on the heel tab, which features a debossed Three Stripes logo above a “tail light” TPU plug. Below, the sole unit is concealed by the profile, but a cream shank with black Three Stripes branding surrounds the middle of the midsole. Inside, adidas updates the cushioning for the modern day by adding Lightstrike and Lightstrike Pro foam. Finishing the sneaker is the tonal rubber outsole.
The adidas Crazy 2 Zero Metallic will release on August 1, 2025, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and crib sizing, the retail price is $160 and $50, respectively.
